We're hiring!
Working at Tembec

Constant job opportunities, because we’re renewing our workforce

We expect about one-third of our employees will retire over the next five years, and finding good talent to fill those positions is key for Tembec.

Professional, technical and manufacturing careers are opening up

The natural ongoing turnover in our workforce means there are constant new job openings across Tembec – in every business, every location and every function.

Once you join Tembec, there will be opportunities to move up and take more responsibility, or to move laterally into a different part of the company.

We are lean, so your contributions will stand out

We don’t have layer upon layer of management weighing in on each decision. We also believe in giving our people the authority to take action.

Working at a lean company means you will have an opportunity to make a real impact. Above all, your contributions and achievements will be noticed, and not lost in the crowd.

At Tembec, you will quickly build the skills and acquire the experience that will make a real difference in your career. Our commitment to training includes an ongoing program that is building the management skills of our 500 managers and supervisors across the company.

We are committed to making changes for the better

In recent years, Tembec has exited businesses where we were uncompetitive, to heighten our focus on businesses where we have strengths. And we are continuing to reshape Tembec, by making changes for the better.

For example, we are taking action to transform our flagship Temiscaming, Québec site, and make it a highly-competitive world-class operation for the long term. This will enable us to meet customer expectations for quality and reliability, as well as community expectations for sustainability, while ensuring profitability for Tembec.

Temiscaming improvements include a $273 million green electricity facility which produces steady hydro power revenues. It has also helped to increase manufacturing efficiency, reduce operating costs and improve environmental performance..

Across Tembec, we have worked hardest on improving competitiveness, controlling costs, and strengthening our financial situation. And new hires will have an opportunity to contribute to the ongoing transformation of the company.
